Nanotechnology is soft and thin.

Recently, scientists in the United States have developed a new technology solar bulletproof vest, which has the same bulletproof ability as bulletproof armor, and uses solar energy to bullet proof and soft tissue.

This is the latest achievement in the application of nanotechnology.

It is understood that this

Bulletproof vests

It's new.

Material Science

It's made.

This material is soft as thin paper, light and super thin, and has strong plasticity.

It is made of nanowires, such as germanium and silicon, which are woven into traditional fabrics or surrounded by some hard plastic products, so that they have the same bullet proof function as Kevlar and can use solar energy and other more functions.

According to Brian Korgel, the inventor of the new bulletproof vest, the paper used by people is usually pressed by wood fiber, and the thin paper of the bulletproof vest is Blaine.

Material Science

It is produced by compressing nanowires made from a large number of semiconductor components such as germanium and silicon.

Germanium is known to be brittle and hard.

In fact, the "thin paper" material made of germanium is very strong in plasticity, bending at will without fear of damage.

In particular, the individual germanium nanowires have an unexpected degree of seed setting, and even have a similar strength and weight ratio to Kevlar.

Usually, the impact force of germanium can not be affected by germanium nanowires.

However, the use of germanium nanowires to make bulletproof vests is not enough, because Kevlar is not only bulletproof because of its good bulletproof performance, but also because of the strong ballistic performance of the whole fiber, germanium nanowires are slightly inferior to Kevlar.

So Blaine and his colleagues began planning to develop another use, solar energy, with the use of semiconductor components in new fibers.

In general, germanium absorbs light that some human eyes can see and absorbs invisible infrared rays.

However, since the photovoltaic effect of germanium is far less than that of silicon, the scientists also developed a silicon nanowire similar to thin paper.

It is understood that silicon nanowires can convert more sunlight into electricity, and individual silicon nanowires are 35% stronger than germanium nanowires, and are more resistant to corrosion.

In this way, the germanium silicon nanowire fabric inside the bulletproof vest and the silicon germanium nanowires around the hard plastic will pform the solar energy into electricity, which will drive the sensors inside the bulletproof vest and some other electrical equipment to play a better bulletproof role.

Xinjiang'S Oil And Gas Resources Tax Is Raised 16 Times.

Xinjiang crude oil and natural gas resource tax reform plan will not take the lead in singling out. Yesterday, the Ministry of Finance promulgated the "Regulations on the reform of crude oil natural gas resources tax in Xinjiang" (hereinafter referred to as the "Regulations"). In June 1st, the resource tax reform initiated by Xinjiang in June 1st involved two major resources of crude oil and natural gas, and the two resource tax was assessed at ad valorem, with a tax rate of 5%.
