Clothing Brand YOUNGOR Lining Denies Causing Water Pollution
A report on environmental protection will include Lining.
The report points out that two suppliers of YOUNGOR textile industrial city and Zhongshan Guotai dyeing and finishing Co., Ltd. have discharged a variety of toxic and harmful substances to the waters of the Yangtze River Delta and the Pearl River Delta respectively. "Tests show that the sewage samples contain a variety of toxic and harmful substances, including environmental hormones nonylphenol and a variety of perfluorinated compounds," which will have adverse effects on animal liver and interfere with hormones. These two enterprises are related to many clothing brands at home and abroad, involving objects such as Lining, CalvinKlein, H&M, Lacoste, Nike and so on.
"Zhongshan Guotai dyeing and finishing Co., Ltd. is indeed one of our suppliers." Lining, director of public relations Zhang Xiaoyan, told the Beijing Morning Post reporter yesterday that Lining had communicated with the supplier Zhongshan Guotai dyeing and finishing Co., and the other said that the sewage discharge met the national standard. Zhang Xiaoyan said that Lining had studied sewage disposal and other related projects before working with Zhongshan Guotai dyeing and finishing Co. Ltd.
Yesterday, YOUNGOR textile industrial city issued a public statement that the sewage discharge of textile city was in line with that.
