The advantage of this project is that water-based materials can be used to replace or mostly replace solvent based materials, which can reduce the emission of organic solvents by more than 80%, and the technical indicators have reached or exceeded the standards of synthetic leather produced by solvent based materials.     “ The output of PU leather in Shuige industrial zone is estimated to be 2 million meters per day. " Wang chunneng, senior engineer of the city economic and Technological Development Zone, told reporters that the success of the project means that the synthetic leather industry has achieved a major breakthrough.      The test results in the past three years show that the quality indexes of synthetic leather made of water-based materials all meet or exceed the existing standards of synthetic leather. In particular, air permeability and moisture permeability, cold resistance, heat resistance, abrasion resistance, flex resistance, adhesive strength and hand feel are closer to leather, which is the upgrading product of traditional synthetic leather. Compared with the cost of the two, in the material use part, the water-based material is equivalent to the solvent-based material, but the drying temperature and drying time of the water-based material are lower, and the equipment basically does not need to be modified. Therefore, the comprehensive cost of the water-based material is lower.     “ The traditional finishing machinery and equipment can basically meet the requirements of water-based material finishing, and will not greatly increase the equipment investment of tannery Liu Aimin, general manager of Qili leather decoration Co., Ltd., felt that compared with the traditional finishing methods, water-based materials can replace or mostly replace solvent-based materials to manufacture PU leather of different styles and types, which is not only feasible, but also has obvious advantages.      Wang chunneng said that the use of water-based materials technology is simple, general synthetic leather enterprise engineers, with a little training, can master the use of technology. And the use of water-based materials, not only can effectively eliminate the volatilization of organic waste gas, but also can save resources.      According to the appraisal data, the performance of PU leather made of water-based materials is better than that of PU leather made of traditional oily materials. Moreover, the synthetic leather made of water-based materials is expected to obtain the EU "ecological synthetic leather" qualification and lay a foundation for the development of synthetic leather in foreign markets.
